Fairey Firefly

The Fairey Firefly was designed to Admiralty Specification N.5/40 for a two-seat reconnaissance fighter.  The first Firefly flew on 22 December 1941 and the first production F.Mk I was delivered in March 1943.

Fireflys saw action in World War II (including action against the Tirpitz), Korea and Malaya before being retired in 1956.
