Daimler-Benz DB 605

The Engine Specifications
 
The DB 605 was introduced in 1942 as a successor to the DB 601.  Like the DB 601, the DB 605 had direct fuel injection as well as a fluid clutch drive for the supercharger that turned the blower slowly at sea level but reduced the slippage to almost zero at altitude.

Liquid-cooled
Displacement:  2,179 cubic inches (35.7  liters)
