To provide a pressurized twin as a step-up for owners of un-pressurized twins, Cessna combined the fuselage of the 421 with the wing developed for the 401. The Cessna 414 first flew on 1 November 1968. In 1978, an improved 414A was introduced |
including increased wing-span wet wing and more baggage capacity in an extended nose. When production ended in 1986, 1,067 of all variants had been built. |
