The Kaydet was typical of the biplane trainers used in the late 1930s and World War II.  Over 10,000 Kaydets were ordered for the U.S. and its allies.

Originally known as the Stearman Model 75, this aircraft was given the name "Kaydet" by Canada and adopted for general use.
