Airbus Industrie A300

The A300 was the first design of the Airbus consortium.  Originally designed as a 300 seat medium-range wide body, the design that was built was for 250 seats.  The  prototype first flew in 1972.

Airbus also builds purpose-built A300 freighters as well as conversions of older passenger A300s.
